Author Account FAQs

Creating a Readio Author Account

We put together key points and information to answer this question. Take look.

IMPORTANT: You are to ONLY upload works for which you have publishing rights to at the time of upload.

Author/Publisher information

Be sure to enter either your legal first and last name (not pen name) or the name of your publishing company. Include the email address you will use for all Readio related account set up and correspondence.

Note: Again, don't enter your pen name here. This matters because we issue your payments and tax forms under the legal name assigned to either your social security number or company's EIN. If you use a pen name, enter it ONLY when you’re setting up your book details.

US Authors or Publishers ONLY get started here.

Non-US Authors or Non-US Publishers ONLY get started here.

When setting up your account, you'll need to provide personal information for tax purposes and so that you can receive royalty payments. Royalties are paid through direct deposit to your bank account. You can set up either by using your bank account or debit card number.

Direct deposit, also known as electronic funds transfer (EFT), is the fastest, most secure and environmentally friendly way to receive your royalty payments. Royalties will be paid in full approximately 60 days after the end of every month for all your sales, once total royalties earned are at least $10.00. If your royalty earnings fall below $10.00, we will keep a running total and issue payment once the amount exceeds the minimum threshold. You will receive the royalties in your local currency.
